Everything you do is better when done with love – especially singing.

Jeanne Rabin was born in Brooklyn, New York and immigrated to Israel with her family at the age of 16. Her musical career began at age four when she began playing piano by ear and her parents realized that proper lessons were in order… Her love of vocal ensembles began in high school where she sang in the “John F. Kennedy High School Choir” of Plainview, N.Y., famous throughout the United States.

Jeanne is a graduate of musicology from Tel Aviv University and McGill University in Montreal, and for three years, studied and trained with the “Broadway Musical Project”, combining talents from the Broadway stage and the Julliard School of the Performing Arts with Israeli performers. She has participated in various stage and television productions including the musical, “My Fair Lady”, her one-woman shows, “George & Jeanne: Jeanne Rabin Sings George Gershwin” and “Baby Grand” (over 400 performances in Israel, Brazil, the “Leverkusen Jazztage 2000” Festival, Germany and at the “Teatru Manoel”, Malta’s National Theatre), her tribute to the songs of Brazil, “Brazilian Winds”, and has co-starred with Tsviki Levin in his evening of Sondheim hits, “Broadway Baby”.

She closed her “Katzefet” choir (Sde Warburg) in 2012. All her vocal groups sing her original arrangements of a varied and exciting repertoire of songs and often perform Jeanne’s original compositions. With her years of experience in the field, Jeanne is a sought after coach and mentor, and conducts workshops in singing-related subjects such as vocal production, proper warm ups, stage presence, accent, groove and using movement in choir performance.

One can also hear Jeanne’s music in various advertisements and commercials, television show themes and soundtracks accompanying world renowned Ilana Yahav’s sand artistry. She has written many songs for other Israeli singers in addition to those she’s recorded herself, some of which competed in the “Israel Song Festival”.

The honor of being voted “Woman of the Year” was bestowed upon her in 2001 by the WIZO organization of the city of Kfar Saba.
